The big 3-0 can be a scary age for some, but when you've already built a billion-dollar business, established yourself as a feminist tech icon, have a dream marriage, and your first child on the way, there's really every reason to celebrate. So it's no surprise that Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd went all in for her 30th birthday bash this weekend, baby bump and all.
The waterfront fete brought friends and family to Capri, Italy for a days-long party in the middle of the Tyrrhenian Sea. (It wasn't the first time Whitney went coastal Italian for a major milestone; back in 2017, she wed husband Michael Herd in nearby Positano.)
Festivities included a pastel perfect, Slim Aarons-inspired lunch at high-end beach club La Conca del Sogno (complete with floaties and fireworks), boat rides galore, and a "black tie optional" soiree where the birthday girl blew out the candles on a massive strawberry-topped cake. Among the well-heeled guests in attendance were Rachel Zoe, co-creatives at Bumble, Sara and Erin Foster, Elizabeth Chambers, Danielle Gersh, and Sarah Bray.
