On Wednesday, the world's wealthiest couple announced that they were getting a divorce, proving once and for all that money really can't buy happiness. Amazon founder and tech tycoon Jeff Bezos posted a joint statement with his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie, on Twitter to share with the public that "after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, [they] have decided to divorce and continue [their] shared lives as friends."

Now, despite rumors of a pretty gruesome affair involving Jeff and his friend's wife, the estranged Mrs. Bezos is sure to come out on top. If she receives even one-third of her husband's wealth, MacKenzie will become the richest woman in the world, surpassing the likes of L'Oréal heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers and Walmart heiress Alice Walton.
