Every New Yorker knows that Thursdays bring about a slew of gallery openings. Last night, Milk Gallery held the opening of an art show that brought to light the sour truth behind Cambodia's sex trade and human trafficking. Norman Jean Roy's TRAFFIK exhibition is also made into a book. The whole project started when Roy met a former sex slave, Somaly Mam, while he was on assignment. Some more about their collaboration on the project here. The opening brought out many people, and most of the guests had a laid-back style with an artistic flair whether it be with their flannel, hairdos, or hats.
