[Ally Hilfiger and Olivia Palermo get Arty]
Go HERE to see photos from this event from SEANA CAVANAGH and HERE for photos by JOHN CARTA and TAG YOURSELF and your friends YO!
Last night's ArtRocks benefit at the Bowery Hotel was the most fun I've had all week. EVERYONE was there. Emmett Shine, James Cruinkshank, you guys are my boys. You rock. And, even though I had to stand in line at the bar for 20 minutes for a drink, I would never complain if it meant seeing you and your friends mingling among fabulous pieces of art. So, here's how it went:
More story and photos below:
I went with my fabulous friend Julie Fabrizio, who I try to always take to things like this to keep her sane (she works in finance), or insane, depending on the angle you're going for. We were greeted by pleasant women at the door (ha what a concept! Door people actually being nice!) The first person I ran into was Kipton Cronkite. Convenient that he was first because he's one of my favorites. We talked about all things Art Basel (so should I go or what?!) and his new and improved website. We then headed into room two where we ran into Olivia Palermo and her handsome man Johannes Huebl (funny because her ex from way back when, Brad Leinhardt we ran into moments later. Awkward). She told me she was staying in NYC during the holidays, working on "The City" of course.
We say Emmett Shine right away, and then his gorgeous sister Amanda right behind him.
Next up, we mosey over to Bar #2. But first, a PMc POW WOW with Liam McMullan and David X Prutting. Samantha Silverman was in tow along with Steve Paul of Downtown TV (love him!). Then I ran into so many people I almost don't want to post because I will undoubtedly leave some out but here goes:
Marissa Lee from the Pink Agenda, Jonathan Famous, Timothy Sheldon, Timo Weiland, Kristian Laliberte, GofG's Ari Cohen, Neel Shah and his ex-RADAR readers (Neel I love you, you sweat coolness out of your pores), there was Scott and Naeem of course (their write ups coming up), Talia Eisenberg (my bff from Omaha and owner of Heist Gallery), Alexandra Richards, Charlotte Ronson, Maggie Rizer, artist David Foote, Tia Walker, Devorah Rose, David Chines, Jamie Korey, Ally Hilfiger, Anthony Martignetti and James Willis from Southside, Matt Levine (Eldridge owner who recently buzzed off his cornrows), and friends I haven't seen in years. I also made a few new ones, including reader DJ Suhel, a true gentleman.
Everyone headed to "the Ridge" and Rose Bar afterward. I went to Eight Mile Creek to boogie the night away with live music.
And, for the record, I would stand in a bar line for 30 minutes for your event guys!
