The Butterfly
Celebrated chef Michael White expanded his Altamarea empire with 3 new restaurants in New York this year, and as much as we enjoyed his steaks at Costata and Italian fare at Ristorante Morini, we found ourselves frequenting The Butterfly the most. The supper club evokes the 1950's in both style and substance, with Eben Freeman's modern interpretations of classic mid-century cocktails such as the rusty nail, mai tai, and brandy old fashioned. In addition, the bar serves a food menu created by Michael White, something that's always welcomed after a few stiff drinks.
