This Friday, the annual Full Moon Festival returns to Governors Island, where artists including Delorean, The Knocks, and Penguin Prison will perform with downtown Manhattan as their backdrop. The festival has been a roaring success over the past few years, with familiar yet just-under-the-radar bands, amazing food, and a decidedly stylish crowd. MATTE Projects, the festival organizer, has also produced some of the biggest parties in NYC for clients including Maison Kitsuné, Interview Magazine, and Soho House. From their stunning Swedish Midsummer party with Absolut to the insane Interview Magazine Model Issue party last fashion week, we have every reason to be excited for their upcoming projects. In anticipation of the Full Moon Festival, we spoke to MATTE Projects founders, Max Pollack, Brett Kincaid, and Matt Rowean about everything from their Bushwick raves with A-Trak to the future of Full Moon!
