Interview: From The CFDA Awards To MoMA Artist Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic Talks Art, Fashion & His Whirlwind Year

In 2014, few artists had the kind of success that Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic saw. In fact, few artists will ever see that kind of success, but the ambitious yet humble Mestrovic only sees his exhibitions as stepping stones onto bigger things. Installations at the Tribeca Grand, EDITION Miami, and the MoMA Armory Event, exhibitions at SCOPE New York and Art Basel, and even collaborations with Public School, Rodarte, and the CFDA were just a few of those stones, which have prompted immense interest in his unique paint style. During his brief return home to New York after a stay in Miami and before he jets off to the TRANOI show in Paris and then SXSW, we caught up with the prolific artist to talk about his influences, fashion, and the future of art.
