Speaking of the clothing, when I first saw the Haculla line it reminded me of someone like Basquiat painting on his friends clothes, imposing that signature style onto a leather jacket or something.

HG: I think it was before Basquiat, when they would paint the side of their jeans, and the back of their Lee jackets. But graphics... it's something I've been doing since before the line. I had started probably in 2001 doing my own t-shirts, and failing miserably, but selling some I guess, and then I designed for Volcom. I'm real thankful to Volcom for giving me a shot. I designed for Diesel. The owner of Diesels son, Stefano, gave me a shot, and from that, I've done Burton, I've done this, that, so it's not like I've just started a company out of nowhere. And you've also always had friends in the fashion industry. HG: Yea, I have friends in clothing, but that's more on the couture side. Definitely it was my turn to give it a go, and I also have another company called Delanci, that's a grassroots company out of New York, and I have a skateboard team for that one, but it's totally different energy than Haculla. Haculla is just Haculla in itself. Haculla
