French National Day, known as Bastille Day, is the French holiday commemorating the beginning of the French Revolution. Though not in Paris, New Yorkers still spent their Sunday holiday celebrating Les festivités du 14 Juillet with a taste of Parisian life. Celebrations of all sorts took place in the city, from Parisian festivals and masquerade balls to the tasting of crêpes and éclairs. This ultimate French summer fete was one celebration not to miss.
