On Thursday, August 28th, Inseparable: The Soundwall Experience held its closing reception at Gallery 151. The music-inspired group art show featured works by Ricky Aiello, Joseph Arthur and Spencer Tunick, Mia Berg, Jordan Doner, Walker Fee, Fab 5 Freddy, Elliot Goldstein, Bradley Theodore, Justin Jay, Matt Jones, Derek Reist, Carrie Mae Rose, Allan Tannenbaum (courtesy of Rock Paper Photo), and Jay West. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails from BYEJOE and music and DJ set by BC Kingdom as they took in the unique pieces. Laura O’Reilly of Wallplay (who co-curated the exhibition along with Gallery 151 founder Michael Namer), then introduced Carrie Mae Rose who spoke about her space-inspired piece in the gallery. Jay West was also on hand to tell the story behind his painting, “Yellow Yield or Kneel.” He explained why he chose Mozart's “Lacrimosa” to accompany it, and what his piece means to him.
