You're a pro when it comes to navigating the wellness world in NYC! What are some of your favorite hot spots?
When I first came to NYC, my wellness hot spots would have been a long running list of work-out studios. After hyper stressing my body, my focus is now on reducing inflammation, becoming more in tune with my inner self, and detoxing in fun creative ways. It is our ability to connect with ourselves and those around us which creates an invaluable human experience.
Here are some of my favorites:
WTHN Acupuncture + Herbal Medicine - Typically herbal medicine is not organic, WTHN sources all certified organic herbs and products, located in the heart of Chelsea in a chic spa- like environment.
Sundays Studio - Nail Salons are frequently toxic, and unsafe environments for both nail technicians and clients. Sundays Studio is making waves in the industry, creating a beautifully curated, non-toxic environment for everyone to enjoy self care, and as an added bonus, for those who like to meditate, they offer a mani and meditation.
Shape House - The best invention to detox, increase metabolism, lose weight, and have glowing skin. My personal favorite way to sweat is with a friend chit chatting about life, or tuning in to an episode of Oprah’s Super Soul conversations.
Montauk Salt Cave - Hidden in the East Village, this salt cave offers a euphoric experience to detox, including sound healing and Reiki. Energy is everything. Moving the energy in our body can help us process trauma and illness, and make space for new energy in our lives.
P.volve and WundaBar Pilates are great methods for working out. They are both based in fine tuning muscle movements for optimal function.
