Have you always been drawn to designing shoes?

I starting sketching shoes when I was 10 years old. I was obsessed after I received my first pair of Doc Martens when I was living in London.

Then during my masters, when my teacher was Pierre Hardy, it was a revelation. I discovered shoes can be a piece of art - an object. That they can be sacred, and very special like a fetish and that's why I decided to design shoes. It was like creating magic by myself.

When I work on shoes it's like putting life into what I do. Shoe sketches become real in my mind, and now they are in the real world. Without shoes you go nowhere...
