The sun is shining, the weather is warm, and it's time to get outside. We know it's easy for New Yorkers to forget Earth Day, regardless, it's time to celebrate! And we don't just mean planting trees--consider supporting our beloved Earth by tasting beer, exercising, or shopping (We have to be different, right?)!-
In order to alleviate your confusion as to how one supports Earth Day, we've comprised a list of, well, New York things to do. Yes, strolling through Central Park on a day such as this may be enticing, and there are chess games occurring in Bryant Park, however, we New Yorkers like things exciting. And who has time to sit down anyway?!
Shop the world's largest "green" pop-up store (Who says shopping doesn't support nature?)!
TerraCycle's Greenup! store is an eco-friendly shopping haven. In honor of Earth Day's 40th anniversary, the boutique features some of New York's "finest green design and fashion." Stop by the store to shop and celebrate with Earth Day NY and Our Green Book (think free 360 vodka) -- RSVP Here.

The special Harlem Meer Social Hour begins at 6:30 p.m. tonight, and will provide guest with refreshments.

A blue and green themed SILENT DANCE PARTY.
Silent dance parties are interesting. By bringing your own iPod, you avoid awful club music. However, your seemingly trapped in an awkward "off-tempo" dance competition with whichever dude your dancing with (think techno meets indie pop, meets hard-hitting rap). Regardless, it's time to thrown on blue or green colored clothing, and bring your iPod/mp3 player for a night of debauchery (Leave the iPad at home please). Where and when to meet (before heading over to the sketchy, non-addressed party):
Dog Ear Tavern (West Soho) -- Leave from at 11:26 pm
Via Dei Mille (SoHo) -- Leave from at 11:23 pm
Down the Hatch (Washington Square Park/NYU) -- Leave from at 11:19 pm
