A year ago, you probably had no idea what a “Cronut” was. Like the rest of New York, and most of the United States, you were also probably quickly obsessed with the idea of this hybrid dessert. What you may not know much about is Dominque Ansel Bakery, the source of all this commotion and the birthplace of the Cronut. While the bakery is home to the dessert so hyped it legally must be regarded as a proper noun, it is also home to a variety of other dessert crossbreeds. Some of these confectionery creations include a cookie shaped like a shot glass full of milk, and an ice cream waffle with espresso. We checked in with a few of the employees at Dominique Ansel to get their recommendations on their top five desserts.
