Dominique Ansel Is Launching Adorable New York-Inspired Pastries

by Stephanie Maida · June 25, 2019

The creative culinary genius may not have become a household name until he debuted his famous Cronut in 2013, but Dominique Ansel has been a sweet staple in New York for a solid 15 years. And to celebrate his NYC-versary, the French-born virtuoso is launching a new collection of pastries dedicated to his adopted city.

From a Bodega Coffee Cup Tiramisu and an “Everything Bagel & Schmear” Pavlova filled with cream cheese mousse and cherry jam, to a taxi-printed eclair and "Haute Dog" made of raspberry mousse and lady fingers, the edible homages are about to become a foodie must-'gram.

They'll be available at the Soho bakery from July 4th to Labor Day, but you might want to start waiting in line now.

This year marks my 15th year in NYC, so I wanted to celebrate with an entire new collection of pastries inspired by all the things we love about the city. So from July 4th through Labor Day, we’re completely transforming the pastry case in Soho into this - our New York Collection. There’s a Bodega Coffee Cup Tiramisu inspired by those blue bodega coffee cups at every corner, an “Everything Bagel & Schmear” Pavlova filled with cream cheese mousse and cherry jam, a Haute Dog made of raspberry mousse and lady finger “buns”, a New York Slice of pizza that’s actually a strawberry tart, and more. The Pretzel we first brought to Paris will be making its Big Apple debut too. Can’t wait for this. 🍎🥨🌭🍕🗽🥯🚕 #DominiqueAnselBakery #Soho #NYC
