It seems Goldman Sachs has finally gotten the millennial-friendly workplace memo. In a move that would personally offend our favorite Wall Street psychopath, Patrick Bateman, the firm's heads officially announced a more casual dress code.
According to Town & Country, CEO David Solomon, along with CFO Stephen Scherr and COO John Waldron, sent out a company-wide email stating that the office would be embracing a "flexible dress code," due to "the changing nature of workplaces generally in favor of a more casual environment."
The shift could be due to the fact that more than 75% of Goldman Sachs' current employees were born after 1981, or because CEO Solomon is known to be quite young at heart himself (dude parties in Miami and moonlights as a DJ). And while we don't expect a sudden influx of sloppy tech startup bro ensembles, slacks will perhaps be swapped out for nice jeans, button-ups for Polos. One thing's for sure, though: those Patagonia vests ain't going nowhere.
