In recent years the ball has gone from run-of-the-mill (albeit glamorous) museum fundraiser to full-on celebrity-stuffed circus. According to Page Six, plenty of poor little rich patrons who could easily afford the $30,000 price tag get pushed out in favor of corporate sponsors like Warner Bros. and Apple who pay upwards of $500,000 for full tables with which to fill their curated, A-list guests.
