Who says fashion can't be a form of protest? Cashmere sweater company (and celeb favorite) Lingua Franca has become a cult must-have for its hand-embroidered pieces emblazoned with the terms "We Are All Immigrants," "I Miss Barack," and "The Future Is Female." Feminists the world over have incorporated the statement-making pieces into their OOTDs, and now they're quite literally museum-worthy.
Inspired by the exhibition, An Incomplete History of Protest, Lingua Franca has launched a custom collaboration with the Whitney Museum of American Art, featuring Stateside sweatshirts hand-stitched with the rallying cries "Solidarity" and "Give A Damn." Not only are they more affordable than their cashmere counterparts at $125, but 100% of sales go towards supporting the museum and its programs.
