They were the perfect addition to my fantasy world in the domain of my imagination - tall, stick-skinny, perfectly symmetrical face proportions, straight bleached white teeth, and smooth silky straight hair. Except for the fact that it gave me the wrong perception of beauty.
Now, even Barbie dolls have been refurbished, aimed to better fit the realistic body standards of everyday girls and boys of varying ethnicities, body types, and hair. YAS. Like Barbie's shift in its concept of beauty, the real-life modeling industry has also been redefined.
