When Timberland asked Daisuke Obana to do a collection of PRO workwear, he jumped at the invitation to learn new techniques and have new experiences. Perhaps more telling than the actual collection is the fact that Timberland chose Obana in the first place - his high-fashion, high-concept pieces are a far cry from construction sites and lumber. His versatility is astonishing as a designer - he rolled into utilitarian workwear so effortlessly and with such focus that it leaked into his main collection.

Orange hoodies and pants, hard hats and overalls echoed the safety codes of construction sites and Carhartt enthusiasts. If there's one thing we really love about this collection it's that it's so far removed from fashion that it's fashionable. This collection is like a tight braid - cohesive, uniform and neat.
