In an age when everyone is a photographer, it may seem like an arduous task to find a hidden talent in a pool of 1,500 people. But with decades of experience and some of the sharpest sets of eyes in fashion, W's Stefano Tonchi, designer Jason Wu, and photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin were up for the task. And last night they debuted the winner of their contest, 26-year-old Agnes Lloyd-Platt, at a vibrant, champagne fueled party. Lloyd-Platt couldn't have asked for a better welcoming into the world of high fashion. Her work adorned the walls, for a crowd of stylish guests to view; Priyanka Chopra, Michelle Monaghan, and the Hilton sisters were among the guests that were introduced to the young photographers work. Furthermore, half the room consisted of potential subjects for Lloyd-Pratt: Karlie Kloss, Barbara Palvin, Georgia Fowler, Coco Rocha,Toni Garrn, and of course male model of the moment Jordan Barrett all strolled through the International Center of Photography, drawing everyone's eyes with them. It was an entertaining celebration of fashion photography, with which W and Hugo Boss used to remind the fashion world of the power and potential of a still image.
