There are few scenarios more magical than New York City during the holidays. The bright lights and festive windows immediately transport you out of the bustle of your everyday life and into a place straight from your memories as a kid. Especially when it comes to the department stores along Fifth Avenue, steps away from Rockefeller Center.
But of all the seasonal displays and lighting celebrations, there isn’t one more grand than the one hosted by Saks every year. Christmas comes when Saks says it does. Every year they close down the avenue and put on a holiday spectacular to rival Radio City's.
Complete with fireworks, dancers, and Idina Menzel (a.k.a. Ice Queen Elsa herself), this year's show was done in collaboration with Disney and featured Frozen 2, 2019's inspiration for the Saks windows. The high-profile affair brought out the city's most stylish, including Nicky Hilton Rothschild and Coco Rocha, who turned it into a family outing with their children.
