Last night, Rise City Swimwear took to Dream Downtown to toast to the launch of their signature campaign, #WomenOnTheRise. The new line, founded by Derek Melvin, aims to celebrate women who work hard and play hard with the tag line, “It’s not how you look, it’s how you live.”
The night marked the first event in a summer series for the brand, produced by entrepreneur and DJ Coco Robert. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served poolside before a live performance by recording artist Janelle Kroll, who shot up to Spotify’s top 10 most viral tracks earlier this month with her new release “Sunny Days.” Guests were women whom the team identified as embodying the ideals of their mission statement, and included Into The Gloss editor Claire Knebl, recording artist Meg Mac, PR maven Melissa Rosenfield, and E! News correspondent Karina Lopez. Next, Rise City will relocate to the East End on Saturday for a day party at Montauk’s Sole East in collaboration with Whalebone Magazine, Montauk Brewing Company, Soulcycle, and The Montauk Project.
