Only one name in fashion could bring together celebrity It-Girls, edgy influencers, drag icons, and New York club kid legends. That, of course, would be Manfred Thierry Mugler.

For the much anticipated opening night of Thierry Mugler: Couturissime, the Brooklyn Museum hosted an extravagant celebration fitting for the life and work of the visionary, boundary-pushing designer donned by fearless fashionistas from runways and red carpets to editorials and dance floors throughout the decades.

Dressed in their Mugler best, A-list guests including Kylie Jenner, Julia Fox, Lourdes Leon, and Laverne Cox stepped out for the occasion, toasting to and exploring the expansive exhibition which features over 100 of the designer's glamorous creations. Fellow designers Marc Jacobs and The Blonds' David and Phillipe Blond also came out to pay tribute alongside current Mugler Creative Director Casey Cadwallader and Global President of Mugler Fashion and Fragrances, Danièle Lahana-Aidenbaum.

To complement the designer's dramatic couture, longtime friend of Mugler and underground club scene legend, Susanne Bartsch, curated a fittingly theatrical lineup of entertainment for the champagne-fueled soiree. New York nightlife icons like Amanda Lepore and Joey Arias took to the stage under a sea of blue lights, while artist and DJ Scott Ewalt pumped '90s club tunes and models vogued and strutted their way through the crowd.

As one would expect, the evening was full of over-the-top style statements as a worthy ode to the designer of the hour. With colorful creatives and pointy-heeled glamazons let loose on the place, let's just say it was hardly your typical night at the museum.
