Forget Coachella, NYC was the place to be last night as a troupe of Chanel-clad actresses and It Girls shuffled into Soho hot spot Balthazar for the 11th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner. The candlelit soiree saw the likes of TFF founders Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro as well as A-listers like Katie Holmes, Choe Sevigny, Dree Hemingway, and Giovanna Battaglia. Fashion wunderkind and stage star Tavi Gevinson opted for the film fest over the music one in Indio, although she's never been to Coachella, "So it's probably not fair for me to say either way." While she's certainly busy starring in The Crucible on Broadway, there's one film she can't wait to catch when she has time: "The Jungle Book looks really fun!"
Another actress who shared her secrets? Dree Hemingway and her shimmering cheekbones. After shouting out her aunt Margaux as steadfast style inspiration, Hemingway (who is celebrating her own film at Tribeca this year called Live Cargo) said she would love to work with Wes Anderson. "He's playful, childish - I like that." We could definitely see her as the newest Tenenbaum, FYI.
