A little drizzle couldn't stop a flock of fine-feathered New Yorkers from attending the much-anticipated return of Diner en Blanc on Monday.
Just in time for the New York edition's 10th anniversary, the world-famous "secret dinner party" made its comeback after a two-year hiatus, popping up this year at Battery Park City's North Cove Marina for an all-white waterfront affair.
Descending upon the event's secret location, which is pretty much revealed once you actually get there, thousands of guests set up their tables, chairs, and accoutrements for a beyond Insta-worthy communal dinner party turned late-night outdoor rave.
In addition to the performance artists, DJs, and live musicians helping to set the scene, celebrity chef and four-time James Beard winner Todd English was on site to help celebrate, curating a special dinner package for the occasion. "I love Diner en Blanc, it’s a global organization that brings people of all walks of life and cultures together in a peaceful and celebratory manner, and exemplifies that food is our greatest democracy," he gushed.
With sunset views, music pumping, and the Champagne Barons de Rothschild flowing, the evening was, per usual, a magical New York moment.
