The 3rd Annual Teal Gala was a huge success in raising much needed funds for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. The evening celebrated the many faces of ovarian cancer, including two very special honorees. Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro received the Alliance’s Visionary Empowerment Award for her leadership, foresight and vision for raising awareness, education women and health care providers about ovarian cancer. The late Diem Brown received the Light of Hope Award for the work she did to raise the profile of ovarian cancer and the inspiration she provided to the thousands of women living with the disease, before sadly passing from the disease in 2014.
