When over 5000 people take to the streets carrying tables, chairs, and picnic baskets filled with French fare, all dressed in white, it could only mean one thing - Diner en Blanc is back. On Thursday, the 2016 iteration of the annual event took place at a secret location revealed to attendees just minutes before it began, and once word got out, thousands of elegant revelers rushed to Battery Park City to set up on the waterfront.
