This month, West Australian artist Jacinda Bayne took over Financial District gallery, Anderson Contemporary, with a series of large-scale paintings that invite New York viewers to take a moment, pause, and reflect. After all, the beauty of nature so often goes unrealized in the concrete jungle.
Gallery Director Ronni Anderson agrees, saying, "Merging Landscapes is a collection of ambiguous landscapes which provides the opportunity to reflect upon personal experiences. The body of work Jacinda has prepared for this exhibition is stunning, unique and I feel her theme of ‘pausing time’ is an important, thought provoking message to the ever-connected world we live in."
The opening bash was a lively affair, with friends, collectors, and enthusiasts taking in the stunning works and toasting to Ms. Bayne. Click through for an inside look!
Merging Landscapes will be on view through December 1 at Anderson Contemporary
