Makeup, music and mystical vibes filled Coney Island this past Sunday, making for one magical day at the beach. Winky Lux, a “dope beauty brand all millennials should know,” presented The Unicorn Carnival at Greenwood Beach at the iconic Coney Art Walls. The one-day festival included meet and greets with social media influencers Sam Fazz (@samxfazz), Orion Carloto (@orionvanessa), Adyel Juergensen (@adyeljuergensen), and performances by Tori Deal (star of MTV’s “Are You The One?”) with special guests Prosper/P.Muna, Joie, Vera, as well as performances by Baby Raptors and Miss Velvet. DJ Jamo and Ian Mellencamp kept the beats going from the DJ booth throughout the carnival and then Marley Marl and Hex Hector spun the crowd into Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco. For makeup lovers and festival alike, The Unicorn Carnival featured a Glitter Bar where guests were able to get a rainbow brow or other fun look with Winky Lux products. A portion of the proceeds from the Carnival went to benefit AWARE, a grass-roots organization dedicated to promoting awareness and generating funds to make meaningful improvements in the lives of women and girls in New York City.
