Page Six quoted a source that said, Nicola didn't want Victoria "to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal." The Daily Mail wrote that Nicola "never intended" to actually wear a VB gown. Their source said, "She was always just going to let her design something. But she was never going put that on her... It's like when you have an in-law, and they say they make the best meatballs, you hate meatballs, but you let them cook it anyway. That's exactly what happened."
