While the event was definitely a sight for social eyes - Mary-Kate Olsen, Andy Cohen, and Princess Beatrice all paying their artistic respects with quick turns about the room - at an art auction, the real question isn't what is Brooke Shields wearing, but what is she buying?
From Naomi Watts's low-key use of her initials rather than her name, to Liev Schreiber's circling shark strategy, hovering between his two pieces of interest, sizing up the competition and the fitting time to pounce, it was a far more interesting night than benefits usually deliver.
