The opening reception for the release and signing of photographers James T. & Karla L. Murray's new book
New York Nights is this Thursday, March 7th at
Clic Bookstore &
Gallery.
Using 35 mm cameras, the Murray's documented all types of New York businesses from counter culture retailer Trash & Vaudeville to institutions such as Carnegie Deli. Capturing the beauty of these storefronts bathed in the glow of neon light showcases these seemingly ordinary by-day storefronts as "masterpieces of nightly luminescence." If New York is the city that never sleeps, it's something of a necessity to capture the spectacle of the city at night.
