Armory Week
In its fifteenth year, Armory Week has become the go-to destination for curators, galleries, collectors, critics, and art lovers alike. Each night, Armory Week focuses on a borough's art scene with specific events. In the past, events have included studio tours, art walks, receptions, panels, artist discussions, and performances. While there is an admission fee to get into the armory show, many galleries have coordinated their openings and events to coincide with the influx of visitors that will be coming to NYC in order to partake in the week's festivities. Expect lots of special events and exhibitions at both alternative gallery spaces and prominent galleries.
Prominent 2013 Art Fairs include the
ADAA Art Show held at the Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue and
SCOPE New York held at Skylight Studios at Moynihan Station, 312 West 33rd Street.
