Chris Ofili: Day and Night At The New Museum
The Young British Artists have surely received plenty of attention throughout the world. Plus, a number of art fairs and exhibits have showcased their works several times in New York City: to name a few, the preserved shark by Damien Hirst, the bed installation by Tracey Emin, and the blood sculpture by Marc Quinn. But, trus us, this show will change (or expand) your view on the YBAs. Chris Ofili is having his first solo museum exhibition at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in NoLita. Ofili's paintings are inspired by the religious themes, Zimbabwean culture, and hip hop music. The exhibition takes place at three main galleries of the museum until Januaray 25th.
