Opening night was a dizzying exploration of art and personalities for the much-anticipated and long-delayed return of the Whitney Biennial. The longest running survey of American art, this exhibition has been a cornerstone of the museum since 1932. Back for the first time since 2019, the multimedia show offers a ton for art-lovers to get excited for.
The current iteration titled Quiet as It’s Kept, features 63 artists "whose dynamic works reflect the challenges, complexities, and possibilities of the American experience today." While I highly recommend going more than once to truly appreciate the breadth of the exhibition, I have selected five of my favorites that visitors absolutely can't miss.
