What the hell is Fisher Island?
A haven for the country's richest, Fisher Island is an enclave of multi-million dollar homes and condos, and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. Casual. It's named for Carl G. Fisher, the 19th century real estate developer and automotive entrepreneur who once owned it. It was also once the private island getaway of the Vanderbilts.
