While even the most irresponsible of plebeians who partied into the new year had enough common sense to hide their shenanigans on a "close friends" story, the wealthy attendees who reportedly coughed up around $1,000 to celebrate at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach had absolutely no shame when it came to showing off their maskless revelry.
Many in attendance were surely expecting to toast to 2021 with the president himself, but after he unexpectedly returned to the White House they were left only with Tiffany, Eric, Don Jr., and Ivanka-wannabe, Kimberly Guilfoyle, along with Donald's infamously sweaty lawyer and former mayor of NYC, Rudy Giuliani. Mike Lindell, the MyPillow guy, was also there, as was Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro and everyone's least-favorite supermarket heiress (and face of the Manhattan young Republicans) Andrea Catsimatidis.
The super-spreader soiree, which was held indoors with nary a mask in sight (save, of course, for the hospitality workers forced to serve these people), boasted a guest list of more than 500, with performances by Vanilla Ice, a couple of bootleg members of the Beach Boys, and Terri Nunn, lead singer of the '80s new wave band, Berlin, who, ironically enough, performed their hit song, "Take My Breath Away."
Between awkward spins on the ballroom dance floor and sing-a-longs with has-beens, guests enjoyed a dinner of "Mr. Trump's Wedge Salad," cheese tortellini, a Wagyu beef entrée, and, we're sure, a hefty helping of COVID on the side.
