[Photo via] Unless you're living in your car, you probably haven't spent too much time relaxing in a parking space lately, and who could blame you? Parking spaces are blocks of ugly, single-function asphalt taking up space that might otherwise be something unique. At least, that's the reasoning behind this Friday's Park[ing] Day LA, our local installment of an international movement to temporarily beautify the city by turning parking spaces into miniature parks for a day.
It's not too late to sign up to build your own urban oasis, either. Here's a little inspiration from last year:
