"$$$" Category, $28 Lunch & $44 Dinner
Craft
Even if your Wednesday nights don't revolve around "Top Chef," you've probably heard of Tom Colicchio. Winner of five James Beard Medals and the founder of 2003-2005 Zagat "most popular restaurant in NYC" Gramercy Tavern, his name rings loud in culinary circles. And his signature restaurant Craft has an outpost here, which, despite residing among the soulless towers of Century City, has a reputation for service that goes above and beyond. The menu revolves around seasonal, fresh and high quality ingredients cooked simply (have you heard that before?), although the DineLA prix fixe options don't include any of the 45-day Dry-Aged fancypants steaks that this place is known for. But you can still choose between two kinds of fresh fish and the delicious Short Rib Ravioli, along with a service staff that's knowledgeable, gracious and attentive, at about half of what you might pay per person on any other night.
