Mezze
Mezze, as a concept, is traditional Middle Eastern small plates, most of which you've probably had some experience with: tabbouleh, shwarma, flatbread. Mezze, the restaurant, is the brainchild of chef Micah Wexler, who seems to thrive on picking elements and characteristics from classic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern staples and re-purposing them to fit his own whims and broader culinary adventures, which is how we end up with Chicken Shwarma on a sesame baguette with amba (a spicy-sweet Israeli mango condiment), or a wood-oven fired Cauliflower Flatbread with olive, feta and golden raisin that has the crisp-to-chew ratio of a perfect pizza but a flavor profile all its own. Light dishes and a casual, bright dining room make this a great choice for a power lunch, if you find yourself by the (shudder) Beverly Center on a workday. [View Menu + Book Now] [via]
