Formosa Cafe has been a West Hollywood staple since the 1934. Thanks to its historical roots, Formosa has been featured in films such as
L.A. Confidential and
The Majestic, and has long been a favorite hangout of the showbiz crowd. Located next to the former Warner Hollywood lot, it boasts legends of famous regulars like Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, and Natalie Wood among many others.
Formosa Cafe still very much retains its old school style with its Asian-inspired decor of red walls, lanterns, bamboo and black and white photos of celebrities lining the walls. Have a seat and enjoy the same view that Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and many other entertainment icons had as you dine on its Asian-fusion cuisine and cocktails for a slice of L.A. history.
