Memorial Day is a wonderful little calendar gift that too many of us take for granted. It is a holiday that should be recognized and celebrated for many reasons. The obvious and most blatant, of course, is the celebration of men and women who have passed while serving and protecting our country. But Memorial Day also marks the commencement of summer and generously provides (most of) us a three day weekend.
