Fiona Apple at Greek Theatre
There's not much to say about Fiona Apple's beautiful, complicated, exceedingly clever and emotionally wrought songs that better writers haven't already said, so instead, let's focus on the limited opportunities for you, the concertgoing adult, to actually see her in concert. After all, she really only tours to promote a new album, and there's only been four of those in the last 16 years. As we've covered before, The Greek is just about the perfect venue to see any sort of artist, but you'd have to imagine it's particularly great for a talent like Apple, who's a downright virtuosic singer and piano player on top of her songwriting abilities. Sure, she's been known to have an onstage breakdown every now and again, but even if that were to happen, you'd get to tell your friends you were there, and besides, a little instability is part of the "true genius" package. If you can go to this show, then go to this show. Seriously. [Details & Ticket Info] [via]
