Upgrade Your Goody Bags

I really like to make the beginning and the end really meaningful. So we talked about the save-the-dates and the invites but there's also the goodies. For instance, for our 14-year anniversary dinner, we hired a famous chef from the East Coast who drove over with his airstream and team and cooked out of his airstream. It was a very harvest vibe. So as parting gifts we gave everyone miniature avocado and fig trees and homemade pies. All of the trees were personalized with note cards and the story behind figs and avocados, planting them, and all the marriage symbolism tied in.

For Baby G’s baby shower that was airplane themed, we did luggage tags and passport holders. And I'm fur-free now, but for my Aspen birthday one year we had custom mink and lynx earmuffs and bags and wine bottle holders.

For my “exotic race club” birthday, we took a Rolls-Royce caravan, all girls, to this private club in Palm Desert called The Thermal Club. It’s super exclusive, only the professionals race and train there. We took over the whole place, and hired professional drivers to “race” with us, and I got everyone custom helmets and race suits.
