Choose The Right Photog
Always have in your back pocket event photographers and videographers. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in the past by thinking that any photographer can shoot events, but it really needs to be an “event photographer.”
[Ahem.]
More important than that is to have a shot list ready. You want to enjoy the party but you also don’t want to find out at the end that all of the important people, all the money you spent on decor and flowers, or all the special moments were not captured. So it’s much better to identify a list. And to identify a mood. Do you want it to be a sexier vibe or do you want it to be happy and bright? Set all that up upfront with a photographer.
