For anyone who's ever wanted to know just how electric dance music made its way into mainstream and became the go-to genre for our favorite club bangers, Stephen Vasquez has the answers. Last night, dance music junkies and DJs came out to the Vista Theatre for the premiere of his film, Electro Wars, a documentary on the electric dance music movement.
The film features some of the biggest players in the ever-expanding DJ world, such as Justice, Moby, Steve Aoki, Crookers, and Boyz Noize.
After the premiere, the party migrated over to El Cid where guests could throw back cocktails and some gnarly margaritas before hitting the dance floor. Of course, plenty of the music genre honored that night was played by the many DJ's showing off their skills on the ones and twos.
