World renowned artist Sarah Bahbah and distinguished art curator Afrodet Zuri hosted an intimate dinner at critically acclaimed Ardor at The West Hollywood EDITION in celebration of Frieze Los Angeles and the wildly successful release of Bahbah’s new book, Dear Love.
The exclusive dinner hosted VIPs from the art, literary, and entertainment spheres in a celebration of love, art, and Dear Love, a luxury fine art book featuring a decade of photography and autobiographical storytelling by Sarah Bahbah. The book includes over 600 photographs and features 20 celebrated visual projects including Sex and Takeout, Bonjour, Bitch!, 3eib!, and Fool Me Twice. Many of the photographs have been globally exhibited in major art fairs and solo exhibitions, and acquired by esteemed art collectors, while others have never been shown before.
Afrodet Zuri masterfully curated the tasteful affair, lending her touch to all aspects of the event. Zuri is an independent curator based in New York with curatorial projects spanning the globe.
At the dinner, guests dined on dishes including Milk Bread and Cleaver Octopus from Michelin-starred chef, John Fraser. To complement the menu, guests also enjoyed libations including both mezcal-based cocktails and non-alcoholic options expertly crafted by Beverage Director Amy Racine. Zuri playfully named the cocktails after the chapters in Dear Love, “The Wild Ones,” “Summer Without a Pool,” and “Bonjour Bitches.
