A Laid-Back Labor Day Pool Party At The W Westwood

Because of UCLA students' general terror at the thought of socializing or patronizing local establishments, the W instead has taken on an extremely laid back vibe, hip but never crowded, and has become a favorite for less party-crazy celebrities (i.e., those whose last names do not end in "-ohan") and athletes who want to enjoy the sun without the danger of getting hit by a flying champagne cork. And while that level of laid back doesn't always match the raw enthusiasm of the Hollywood pool party scene, that's kind of what we love about it. Not every pool party needs to end in an accidental drowning, after all.
