Lowlight: Coldplay Wins "Best Rock Music Video"
If anything, I have less against Coldplay when I used to. It's just not worth it. But some part of me refuses to sit there and take it when you try to tell me that "Coldplay" and "rock" belong in the same sentence, let alone inscribed on an awards statue. Seriously? Rock? The band that, in the immortal words of
Chuck Klosterman, "manufactures fake love as frenetically as the Ford f*cking Motor Company manufactures Mustangs?" Call it great pop music if you want, but there's not an ounce of rock & roll in Chris Martin's body.
